Hwaseong FC Confirms 2023 K3 League Win…It’s the third time since its foundation in 2013

Hwaseong FC, coached by Kang Chul, has been crowned the 2023 K3 League champions with one game remaining. It is the club’s third K3 League title since its inception in 2013 (2014-2019-2023) and the first since the league was reorganized in 2020.

Hwaseong FC scored back-to-back goals from Julen Sandy and Ruan Costa de Carvalho (Brazil) to win 2-1 in the 29th round of the 2023 K3 League against Changwon City Hall at Changwon Sports Complex at 7 p.m. on March 3.토토사이트

With the victory, Hwaseong FC improved to 57 points (16 W, 9 D, 2 L) and extended its lead over second-place FC Mokpo (50 points) to seven points, clinching the title regardless of the outcome of the remaining matches. The win marks the club’s third K3 League title since its inception in 2013. It is the first title since the K3 League was reorganized in 2020.

In fact, Hwaseong FC had already clinched the title before they faced Changwon City Hall. That’s because second-place FC Mokpo, which was closing in on them with a four-point lead going into the last round, was unable to close the gap, suffering a 1-3 reverse in its first match against Daejeon Corail.

Hwaseong FC took the lead early in the day. Sandy scored the first goal in the 11th minute from a corner kick, followed by Ruan’s second goal in the 38th minute, assisted by Jang Young-woo. Despite conceding a late goal in stoppage time, the team managed to hold on to their one-goal lead for the win.

The 2023 K3 League consisted of 15 teams that played a home-and-away league throughout the year, with the final standings determined by regular season results alone. Hwaseong FC started the season on a high note, going unbeaten in 17 matches, and by the 29th round of 27 matches, the team had 16 wins, 9 draws, and 2 losses for 57 points.
