Texas Simion Wins Heart and Hustle Award…Kim Ha-sung failed

The San Diego Padres’ nominee, Ha-Sung Kim, 28, was not honored.

“The award recognizes an active player who demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit and traditions of the game,” the MLBPAA said of the Heart and Hustle Award.

One nominee is selected from each of the 30 franchises for the Heart and Hustle Award. This nomination is made by a retired player from that organization.

Retired players, current players, and fans vote to determine the final winner from the 30 nominees.

Kim was nominated for San Diego, but unfortunately, he didn’t win the award.

Simeon, who was nominated four times during his time with the Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, and Texas, was finally named the winner.

“After leading his team to a World Series title this year, he continues to make a significant impact in the clubhouse, on the field, and in the community,” the MLBPAA noted.
