Rodgers renewed his contract with Hanwha and was released due to injury after recording two wins, three losses and an ERA of 4.30 in six games in 2016. He later returned to the KBO League by signing with Nexen in 2018, and was released due to bad injury with five wins, four losses and an ERA of 3.80 in 13 games.
