16-year-old Fruvirtova to clash with last year’s winner Sabalenka in two Australian Open singles match

Alina Karneyeva (Russia, 179th) and Brenda Fruvirtova (Czech, 107th), who are 16 years old, respectively, passed the first round of the women’s singles at the Australian Open, the first major tennis tournament of the season, heralding a bigger performance in the future.마카오토토

On the first day of the tournament held in Melbourne, Australia on Monday, Fruvirtova beat Anna Bogdan (2-6, 6-4, 6-3) at Court 17. Last year’s Australian Open junior champion Carneyeva defeated Sarah Soribeth Tormo (2-6, 6-3, 6-2) at Court No. 6 on the same day.

Among them, Fruvirtova will face her next opponent in a dramatic change. As she will face off against last year’s champion Aryna Sabalenka (ranked second), she is highly likely to play at Rod Laver Stadium, the center court.

“I want to be assigned a little bigger court, or a bigger court than today. I’m really looking forward to it,” Fruvirtova said in a media interview before her second-round opponent was decided, adding, “It’s definitely going to be more exciting than playing on court 17, which went as I hoped.”

Eleven teenagers, including last year’s U.S. Open champion Corey Gauff (U.S., No. 3), who was seeded fourth, advanced to the women’s singles finals.
